At Pearsons, we are proud to provide school transport services to Ashburton and throughout mid Canterbury.

Services cover rural areas including Rakaia, Dorie, Wakanui, Longbeach, Hinds, Lagmhor, and Tinwald.  We also provide rural student pick ups to field trips or school camps.

Fares from 2026

Due to rising operational and supplier costs from 2026 there has been an increase in the annual fare for the town bus.

Other fare options include concession cards which can be purchased from  oamaru@pearsonscoachlines.co.nz  from 9am to 2pm.

• 12-ride bus pass:  $35.00
• casual rides: $3.50 per trip payable to the driver.

Any unused concession cards from 2025 with rides left on them will still be  honoured for use in 2026.
